Hampton Endurance 630E

Hampton Endurance 630E Details

As the smallest model of the successful Hampton Endurance line, the Endurance 630 is by no means a small yacht. In fact, the 66-footer meets most big-boat expectations of features, standards of finish, and choice of equipment. Buyers should expect luxury motoryachts to offer exceptional levels of quality and décor, but rarely do the same motoryachts also provide the cruising capabilities associated with all of Hampton’s Endurance Yachts. All Endurance models are designed and built by the Hampton Yachts shipyard.

Anyone in the market for a family cruiser, one that offers the exceptional lifestyle quality of a motoryacht, yet designed for comfortable cruising by a couple, should seriously consider the Endurance 630. It may be one of the best all-around boats to travel the world, live aboard in luxury and comfort, and experience the finer aspects of life on the water.

Every Hampton Endurance yacht begins with a hand-laid fiberglass hull, with its signature longitudinal and transverse stringer system to ensure maximum rigidity and strength of the hull structure. Kevlar is an essential component of the lamination schedule, used below the waterline from chine to chine, as well as up forward to eliminate vulnerability to collision with objects and other hazards.

The hull follows the exclusive Hampton Endurance hybrid hull shape that enhances stability while adding to the running efficiency from displacement speed up to the intended cruising range of 12-15 knots. Created by naval architect Howard Apollonio, this unique hull form has been successfully used across the Endurance model range, offering the best of cruising worlds.

The house, deck, and flybridge are fiberglass with Divinycell core for strength, insulation, and rigidity. The critical hull/deck joint is mechanically fastened, through-bolted every six inches, as well as structurally secured with 3M 5200 adhesive.

Freshwater washdown systems are installed on both the flybridge and the aft cockpit to simplify cleaning and highlight how well the flybridge is thought out. The flybridge is important on all Endurance yachts and is complete with centerline helm and controls for all systems, while offering excellent sightlines. Social accommodations on this upper deck include wrap-around settee, full summer kitchen, and dinghy storage with a heavy-duty davit system. The flybridge on the 630 and other Endurance yachts can be ordered with an enclosure for year-round use, up to the fully enclosed sky lounge found on the larger Endurance models. Such enclosures are particularly appreciated in the Pacific Northwest for weather protection, and also in tropical cruising areas where air conditioning is considered more than a luxury.

Covered side decks allow easy and protected access around the boat, port and starboard, from aft cockpit up to the foredeck. This is most appreciated by a couple running the boat, as opposed to the asymmetrical deck layouts offered on other yachts. Handling lines and fenders are not a problem. And standing on the side deck under the protection of the overhead enhances the sense of security and enjoyment of seeing the world glide by as one makes miles across a sun-drenched sea.

The salon is a comfortable living space just a step inside from the aft cockpit. With a combination of free-standing furniture and built-in seating and lounge space, one moves easily up to the pilothouse and galley just forward of the salon. A complete galley, well-proven from years of cruising and living aboard, fits the requirements of any cuisine or culinary mood. The galley is located near a spacious, U-shaped settee where crew relax while planning the next segment of the adventure. The settee is just a step away from the custom upholstered Pompanette Platinum helm chairs on stainless steel pedestals that come standard on the Endurance 630.

Generous allowances are included in every new Endurance 630 to tailor the interior décor to fit one’s taste and style. A similarly liberal electronics allowance is enough to equip the yacht with full suites of selected Garmin (or other) navigation and other electronics for the pilothouse and flybridge helm stations.

The three staterooms of the Endurance 630 take advantage of the wide beam and interior space and are suitable cabins for owners, guests, and family. The midship master stateroom and ensuite head is complete and sure to please the most demanding owners. The VIP stateroom is forward, with a comfortable guest cabin between the VIP and master staterooms. A large, full-size head and shower share the forward section of the yacht.

The intelligent use of space in stateroom placement and configuration reflects Hampton Yachts’ ongoing success in developing superior cruising yachts.

The Endurance 630 engine room is fitting for a yacht of this caliber. The standard boat comes with two 900hp Volvo D13 diesel engines, 20kW and 16kW generators, and complete fuel management and other controls. The batteries and air conditioning units are located in the spacious rear lazarette. The engine space can be ordered with air conditioning in consideration of service personnel who come aboard to maintain the yacht’s propulsion, generator, hydraulics, and other systems.

There is much to be said for the quality one expects from a luxury yacht built by a yard with Hampton’s world-class reputation. Custom oval stainless-steel hand and bow rails, powerful Wesmar hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, tempered glass throughout, high-end GE appliances, Muir hydraulic windlass, Tecma toilets, and handmade cabinetry and trim will be appreciated long after the initial purchase. There is a reason why Hampton’s Endurance line remains popular, and owners tend to keep them for a long time.

Each Endurance yacht is built under the careful supervision of project management expertise developed over many years within the Hampton organization. The ongoing involvement of the Seattle Yachts broker ensures the buyers are kept fully informed during this exciting build process.
