Tiffany Billings

Tiffany grew up in Seattle, Washington where she and her family cruised power boats in the Puget Sound and area lakes. She moved down the West Coast to Southern California to study Marine Biology at the University of San Diego, and like many other transplants, stayed for the weather.

Once Tiffany began volunteering for San Diego Yacht Club’s very active Race Committee, she quickly became “hooked” on sailing and racing and signed on for every event available, running races from local one-design challenges, national and international events, to Olympic qualifiers. She enjoyed the chance to learn from the experts of the sport and industry. Soon after, she was racing herself and has become a passionate racer, cruiser, and ocean steward. She is a member of SDYC and remains an active leader in local race management and planning and loves to coach and encourage new sailors into the sport, “which can truly be enjoyed for a lifetime.”

Tiffany races J Boats often and has experience on the J22, J105, J111, J120, and J122, but has a special place in her heart for the classics – her favorite race boat is the 90-year-old, 10-Meter, Sally, which she has crewed and cruised on for over six years, and counting. While she admits that dinghy-sailing is great for skill development, she has a strong preference for long-distance racing on a big, comfortable sailboat. She has recently added ‘crossing the Pacific on a Hanse’ to her bucket list.

Tiffany’s well-rounded experience, combined with her passion and affinity for a fulfilling on-the-water lifestyle ensures she will meet and manage her clients’ needs, whether they are customizing a brand new yacht, or finding the right gem to suit her clients’ needs and wants on the used market.

When she is not in the office, you’ll most likely find her on the decks of Sally, the docks of SDYC, or at home playing with Sasha, her land-lubbing Chihuahua-mix.
