MY YACHT WORTH?
Ask Tiffany what she does, and she’ll tell you she’s a Yacht Sales Consultant. Ask her what she loves about it, and she’ll tell you she’s a matchmaker more than a salesperson - her clients already want a boat, her job is finding the right one.
Tiffany grew up in the Pacific Northwest around Puget Sound and the surrounding lakes, where early time on the water shaped a lifelong connection to boating. She earned a degree in Marine Biology from the University of San Diego and has been based in Southern California ever since.
Her experience in the marine industry comes from years of involvement in San Diego’s boating community, including racing sailboats and extensive work with the San Diego Yacht Club Race Committee operating mark boats and supporting regattas from local events to world class racing. That time on the water built deep familiarity with San Diego Bay and the coastal waters of Southern California and Mexico.
She later worked in boatyard project management and alongside a maritime attorney before transitioning into yacht sales, where she now works with both brokerage and new yacht clients.
Her experience spans sail and power, racing and cruising, and coastal to long-range boating, giving her a practical understanding of the different ways people use the water. That perspective keeps the focus simple: how a boat will be used comes first, and everything else follows from there.
In San Diego, she knows the bay in real terms - its channels, marinas, navigation routes, and the way conditions shift through the day, from morning calm to the afternoon breeze filling in and fading out again, including the handful of shallow spots where boats occasionally go aground.
She remains active in the San Diego Yacht Club cruising and racing programs and stays closely connected to the local boating community. Many clients stay in touch long after the sale, sharing time on the water, cruising, racing, and life around the docks.
For Tiffany, this job isn’t about hitting sales targets, it’s about connecting people with the right boat for how they want to use it, so the lifestyle that follows actually comes to life. I know I’ve done my job well when I get a message after a first cruise or overnight anchorage that simply says, “We love our boat!” - that’s music to my ears.
