Originally from Connecticut and the cruising grounds of the New England coastal waters, Ed moved to Florida to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business graduating in 1979, achieved his Captain’s license from the USCG the same year and became a full-time yacht broker in 1980.
Ed’s business education, extensive knowledge of seamanship, polished sales skills and established professional relationships with the largest and most respected names in the yacht sales and brokerage industry have provided him with uniquely valuable skills that he uses daily to the benefit of clients in negotiating the sales of yachts. Making the process of buying or selling a yacht fun as well as counseling buyers and sellers effectively to accomplish their nautical goals and yachting objectives and providing the highest quality of “after the sale support” is what has enabled Ed to grow his clientele steadily over the past 40 years.
Ed’s knowledge of the sea, cruising grounds of the Pacific NW, Caribbean, Bahamas, and New England and his years of experience in the South Florida Yacht sales business, commitment to ethics and professional service to the client enable him to council clients honestly to avoid potential pitfalls and succeed in accomplishing their objectives.
The customer’s satisfaction with the yachts purchased or sold is the real reward and what Ed Chapdelaine has always based and built his yacht sales business and career upon.
