Dave Cheaney

Dave was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but soon moved to the PNW at the age of 10 years old. Here he attended high school, but after his step-father’s passing he went into the Marine Corps, traveling to over 22 different countries. After being honorably discharged, Dave was recruited into law enforcement with the US Border Patrol in Texas, moved on to work with the Snoqualmie Police Department, and eventually started his own company involving bird control.

In 2011, Dave acquired his captain’s license so he could follow his dream of being out on the water. Being a captain has opened many doors and given him the opportunity to meet and work with a slew of interesting people. Dave started working as a broker at Seattle yachts in 2022, and believes it has allowed him to be a part of a great industry with many inspiring people. He loves working with new boat buyers and making friends along the way, and feels that being able to work with such a good team at Seattle Yachts really makes the difference.
