Built in China, and sold mostly on the West Coast and Pacific Northwest, the North Pacific 42 Pilothouse was constructed to provide safe and comfortable long-range cruising. This trawler features a covered cockpit which is the perfect place to relax at the end of a long day of cruising, while at anchor, or docked at your favorite marina. The aft covered cockpit of Trawler Buff has a sturdy door that provides access to the salon. The salon is full beam, with two recliners to starboard, across from the dinette to port. The U-shaped galley is also to port forward.
Steps leading up to the pilothouse are to starboard. The pilothouse features a single Captain’s chair as well as a bench seat for guests. There are pilothouse doors on each side. The wide sidewalks lead forward to the foredeck, or aft to molded steps which lead to the roomy flybridge. The flybridge is also accessible via a ladder from the cockpit.
The steps down to the companionway are forward in the salon. The head with a separate stall shower is to starboard, across from the second stateroom to port. This stateroom is outfitted as an office. The master stateroom is forward.
