MANA KAI is a 2012 built Lagoon 400 catamaran based in Florida. She is a late model of the 264 Lagoon 400‘s built between 2009 and 2012. MANA KAI is designed and equipped for coastal sailing, ocean cruising and passage making.

MANA KAI is a custom layout (3 cabins, 3 heads), the owner’s version of the Lagoon 400. It can comfortably accommodate 8 guests (6 + 2 persons), elegantly fitted, with spacious interior and has never been chartered. The Lagoon 400 is the one of largest of 40-footer catamarans available in the market and has the feel of a 60-footer monohull!

MANAKAI’s owner has finished his family sabbatical. MANA KAI is now ready to move on to new adventures with the next owner/family!

The owner plan is to reach the Fort Lauderdale area in May but will consider transferring MANA KAI earlier if a purchase contract is finalized.

The boat is US Duty Paid.

The saloon and galley are voluminous and well equipped. The galley is equipped with LPG propane 3-burner stove, with separate oven, refrigerator and freezer. All the kitchenware is easily stowed in the dedicated galley space and the slide out pantry is great for food storage. The stowage under the settee is very convenient to stow long-term food provisions.

The impressive master suite is found on a catamaran of this size, featuring large berth, couch, and desk. The owner’s hull stowage will comfortably meet their onboard needs. The guest hull accommodations offer comfortable spaces, featuring two large cabins with two separate heads.

Helm station has engine throttle controls, engine control panels, compass, area for electronic equipment, leather covered steering wheel with brake, double helm seat with cushions, access steps from cockpit with s/s handrail, line storage bag. Steps to the station from the cockpit are flanked by all kinds of good grab bars. To operate MANA KAI, a dedicated steering and control station rests above and to port that can be effectively enclosed with a zippered enclosure in foul weather. All halyards and sail-control lines lead to the helm station.

From stems to sterns, the Lagoon is about ease of use. Up front, large lockers flank a windlass and channel that directs chain to an anchor set to deploy on the bow. And once the boat's anchored, a dinghy can slide up from aft, nest between the hulls, and disembark passengers on transoms that are cutaway inboard and provided with a sturdy handhold. When boarding from the dock, passengers can use the step set into each hulls' exterior. The port and starboard transoms have aft swim platforms. The platform has an FRP deck. The port aft deck is fitted with single hinged swim ladder. There is also a port hot and cold transom shower.

From the power budget prospective, MANA KAI is equipped with solar panels, wind generator and diesel generator, all those combined provide enough power for extended cruising. To be safe in every aspect, regular inspections have been carried out on rigging, life raft, and flares (etc.).
