1 343 Causeway Blvd. Suite 210 [empty string] [empty string] <p>Jimmy Rogers was born and raised in Florida and has been boating since before he could walk. Growing up around avid boaters has given him a strong love and appreciation for the water, boats and the boating lifestyle. Continuing the family tradition, Jimmy received his higher education at the University of Florida in Gainesville and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Marketing from the Warrington College of Business.</p><p>He began his career in the boating industry after securing a coveted internship at the MarineMax Inc. headquarters, the largest chain of boat dealerships in the world. Catching the attention of the top executives and managers, he was given the choice of working at the top dealerships in the country.</p><p>In May of 2008, Jimmy began working at MarineMax in Naples, FL, one of the top performing boat sales locations in the nation. There he was able to learn from the best in the business the art of forming relationships with clients and the importance of top quality service and client care. On a personal note, he also met his beautiful wife Katie through mutual friends during his time there!</p><p>About a year later, Jimmy received a call from his uncle, Tom George, that would bring about a huge change to his career path. In the depths of the great recession, Tom saw an opportunity to start a boutique yacht brokerage firm that would have a strong basis in client care and customer service above all else. While other dealerships and brokerage firms were scrambling to salvage their stock value and keep inventory levels from driving them out of business, Tom and Jimmy started fresh with a purely client centric approach. Success followed, and over the years the Tom George Yacht group grew from a small office of 2 into a thriving firm.</p><p>To better serve his clients and provide the utmost in professionalism, Jimmy became a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) in 2011. The CPYB program is a prestigious certification that only 10% of yacht brokers worldwide have achieved. It requires a vigorous exam and ongoing education training yearly to earn enough credits to retain CPYB status.</p><p>In 2014 Jimmy and Tom became dealers for prestigious Hatteras Yachts, an iconic yachting brand that recognized the Tom George Yacht Group as an elite dealer that provides only the best service to its clients. Jimmy quickly climbed up the ranks in the Hatteras sales arena, earning two awards in the first year for distinguished sales achievement and the "Hot Shot" salesman award. In 2015 and 2016 He earned the top salesman award and was a charter member of the Hatteras "President's Club".</p><p>Seeking to meet the further demand from their client base for new and innovative product, Jimmy and Tom became dealers for Carver and Marquis Yachts, which had recently re-tooled and was bringing some great product to market.</p><p>Jimmy expanded his role in 2016 at TGYG to not only provide brokerage services, but also oversee all company sales of Carver, Marquis and Hatteras Yachts. After a very successful first year representing the Carver Yachts product, in 2017 TGYG was named Carver Yachts Top Dealer.</p><p>Jimmy comes highly recommended by his clients for his unwavering dedication and always putting their interests first. A client once told him, "I will never buy a boat from anyone else but you. I can tell you truly care — that is a very rare attribute these days."</p><p>Through hard work, passion and dedication Jimmy has been successful selling a wide range of yachts new and pre-owned since his introduction to the industry in 2008 and looks forward to continuing his career in yachting long into the future.</p><p>With his finger always on the pulse of the market, Jimmy prides himself on staying sharp and informed, ready to engage for his clients. Give Jimmy a call today and experience his dedication for yourself.</p> 83193 Jimmy Rogers [empty string] 60000747 [empty string] (727) 453-0422 Dunedin [empty string] https://cdn.yachtbroker.org/biopic/lx138QUDcFkTNGxH.jpg Jimmy@OWYG.com https://www.facebook.com/grandeyachtsinternational [empty string] [empty string] [empty string] [empty string] https://www.instagram.com/grande_yachts_international [empty string] 60000747 (727) 734-8707 [empty string] [empty string] [empty string] [empty string] Florida [empty string] https://twitter.com/grandeyachts https://owyg.com/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDRlxrMi-AJkBa7ALZHXPYQ 34698

36' Grand Craft Commuter 2013

The Grand Craft 36 Commuter

Welcome to the Grand Craft 36 Commuter, your Ultimate Classic Pleasure Craft. Constructed by hand using classic and time tested methods, she is a true piece of floating art and a study in expert wood carpentry from bow to stern.Stepping aboard you are instantly transported to the roaring 20's on your way to a party at the Gatsby mansion...every visible part of the vessel is true to form, compelling you to somewhere special and unique.

The ride is unparalleled by today's fiberglass hull boats, with the sharp entry and sound/vibration absorbing properties of the mahogany you feel like you are riding a Rolls-Royce on the water.

Ideal as a mega yacht tender, she speaks to the owner's unique and classic style like none other, projecting distinction and a keen eye for the truly premium.

Grand Craftsmanship

Trained and skilled craftsmen mill and color match mahogany according to lofted patterns. The 36 Commuter is built with three layers on the sides and four layers on the bottom and transom.African Meranti Mahogany is preferred by Grand-Craft for its flexible strength and sound/shock absorption, as well as its lasting beauty. Each piece is hand selected on the basis of the consistent, reddish brown hue and grain; straight grain for side planking, ribbon grain for the transom, if desired. Walnut and oak are often used on dash panels and storage compartments.

Stringers, made from high-grade fir, run the length of the hull for added strength.

All hardware is hand-cast brass or bronze, which is plated in copper, nickel and chrome, by the highest quality process available. Heavy as it is handsome, this striking hardware exemplifies the quality of Grand-Craft — strong, durable and beautiful works of art.

Construction

This Entire Vessel is Painstakingly Constructed by Hand at the Grand Craft Facility in Holland, Michigan using Fine Mahogany Wood.

Modern Woodworking Techniques Were Employed to Dramatically Increase Durability and Reduce Maintenance Downtime vs. Older Wood Vessels. Cross Plank Construction and West System Epoxy Resin Retain All the Beauty and Timeless Style of a Wood Boat but Without The Issues Typically Associated with Older Wood Vessels.

The Gorgeous Mahogany Exterior is Heavily Protected by up to 22 Layers of Awlspar and Awlbright Coating, the Best Protection Available For Wood in a Marine Environment, Even in Southern Climates.

Propulsion

The Grand Craft 36 Commuter has a cruising speed of around 30mph and a top speed around 40mph. Powered by twin ILMOR 380hp engines with digital throttles, she has a strong yet smooth throttle response with a sound reminiscent of a european sports car...not too loud, but you know it is there. The ILMOR engines are freshwater cooled for durability and feature variable valve timing for extra performance. The dual-equal hydraulic cam phaser adjusts camshaft timing at same rate for intake and exhaust valves, advancing cam timing for low end torque and slowing cam timing for high RPM horsepower.

The result is a reliable and well mannered power system that is ideally matched to a vessel of Grand Craft caliber.
