The Nimbus Sport Tender 35 is Nimbus’s all-new 35-foot premium dayboat and the first model in the brand’s new Sport Cruiser 35 series. Positioned as a Scandinavian sport cruiser with the usability of a tender and the comfort cues of a coupé, it is designed around the full day on the water rather than simply the person at the helm: boarding, cruising, anchoring, swimming, cooking, lounging, and sleeping aboard. Nimbus says the model is the first of three boats to share the new 35-foot platform, alongside upcoming Sport Weekender and Sport Coupé versions. At the heart of the Sport Tender 35 is a newly developed air-lubricated, twin-stepped hull, built to combine efficient speed, usable range, and confident handling. Nimbus has given the boat a clean, low-profile Scandinavian look with a standard integrated T-top, a full-height windscreen built into the roof structure, wide walkaround movement, fold-out side balconies, and open fore-and-aft social zones. The result is a boat that feels more like a floating waterfront terrace than a conventional helm-focused dayboat.

The deck layout is the defining feature. Forward, the foredeck works first as a secure practical area for boarding, loading, line handling, and moving around the boat; then it transforms into a large lounging zone with two broad sun lounges, each around two metres across. Nimbus also lowers and shapes the gunwales into usable seats, allowing up to eight people to sit forward. Drainage channels are built into the cushion areas, and long lockers extend toward the bow for canopy poles, fishing rods, and day gear, while a fixed bow ladder helps with stepping ashore or onto a low jetty.

Aft, the boat is built around a large U-shaped sofa for six, integrated into the structure of the boat. Its three-part backrest can be arranged as a sofa, opposing seats, a large sunbed, or a water-facing lounge when the fold-out hull balconies are deployed. Those balconies lower the connection to the water at anchor, making the aft deck useful for swimming, relaxing, dining, or simply sitting with feet toward the sea. Storage is placed under the sofa, ahead of the engines, and in deep side lockers sized for fenders; owners who fish can also specify a live bait tank in the port aft locker.

The cockpit galley is deliberately split into two sections so the centreline of the boat stays open, even when the canvas side canopies are deployed. This makes it possible to move from bow to stern without stepping over guests or furniture. The galley includes a 65-litre refrigerator, cold water at the wetbar, dedicated stowage for Nimbus crockery, and the option of a second 18 gallon refrigerator under the aft sofa. It is arranged for day use: drinks, coffee, lunch at anchor, and easy service without needing to go below.

The helm is clean and modern, borrowing design language from Nimbus’s 495 Flybridge. Buyers can choose twin 12-inch displays or a single 16-inch display set into the dash. The Nimbus steering wheel integrates frequently used controls, including wiper paddles at the driver’s fingertips. The windscreen is full-height and built into the roof, with stainless grab rails leading below; the standard T-top includes an acrylic sunroof that keeps the cockpit bright while reducing glare and UV exposure.

Below deck, the Sport Tender 35 is more capable than a typical open dayboat. Nimbus lists accommodation for 2 + 2 + (1) berths: a full-length forward double, two full-length berths in the mid-cabin, and an additional sofa berth suitable for a child. The head compartment includes a toilet, shower, and washbasin. Nimbus also notes that an optional bulkhead and wardrobe can close off the forward cabin, giving the boat genuine weekend potential for a family or couple rather than limiting it to day-only use.

Nimbus’s published principal figures list an overall length of 35.4 ft, a beam of 10.5 ft, and a light displacement just under 10,000 lbs. Construction is vacuum-infused Divinycell sandwich, with a single laminate structure running from behind the helm to the roof. CE classification is listed as Category C for 10 persons and Category B for 6 persons.

Power comes from Mercury outboards. Published engine options include a Mercury V10 350 hp, a Mercury V10 425 hp, or twin Mercury V8 300 hp engines. Nimbus states that the boat is intended to cruise comfortably at roughly 30–36 knots, with top speed well above 40 knots and around 45 knots with the twin V8 setup, though the company says final verified figures will follow after sea trials and Mercury sign-off.

Key onboard systems include a 165 gallon fuel capacity, 21+ gallons of fresh water, an 21 gallon combined black/grey-water capacity, a 10.5 gallon hot-water heater, and an available Blue Airco 12,400 Btu air-conditioning system running from a 600 Ah lithium setup, which Nimbus lists at up to 10 hours or 36 hours in EcoMode.

Standard equipment is unusually comprehensive for a sport tender.
