The Nimbus Commuter 12 (C12) is the new 41-foot flagship of Nimbus’s all-weather commuter line – a fast, enclosed wheelhouse boat designed to run comfortably year-round, then open up and relax like a day cruiser once you arrive. One of the most noticeable changes on the Nimbus C-12 series is found on the aft cockpit where you and your guests will congregate several times a day, from breakfast to evening cocktails. Here are some of the notable features on the C-12:

• A re-designed aft deck provides more usable space and a smarter layout.
• The aft sofa now features a folding backrest, so you can quickly switch between forward-facing travel seating and an aft-facing lounge at anchor.
• New extended swim platform with double-mould construction, structurally integrated into the hull for a more solid feel and closer connection to the water.
• Thicker 40 mm stainless-steel railings and updated hull décor featuring a polished stainless Nimbus logo, giving the boat a more distinctive premium look.
• New aft-deck seating arrangement with side cushions, turning former storage corners into comfortable extra seating.
• New aft-deck shower and updated exterior illumination, making life at anchor easier and evenings on deck more inviting.

At the helm, Nimbus has rethought the driving experience across the 12 Series. With up to 425hp and a top speed over 45 mph, you can bet the driving experience will be controlled, yet exhilarating.  

• New custom Nimbus helm seats with improved ergonomics and lateral support reduce fatigue on long runs.
• Refined helm ergonomics and sight lines are optimised for higher-speed cruising with large displays and clear instrumentation.
• New windscreen wiper system improves visibility in rain and spray.
• Updated interior and exterior lighting enhances both safety and ambiance.
• With Mercury outboards, Mercury Joystick Piloting with integrated bow thruster is available, tying engines and thrusters into a single intuitive joystick.
• On C12 (and T12), Volvo Penta D4 DPI inboards can be specified, with an optional assisted docking joystick package for the same fingertip control.

An optional hydraulic swim platform for outboard versions can be added, acting as a water-level terrace at anchor and a passerelle for stern-to mooring.

What accommodations does the Nimbus C-12 have?

The Nimbus Weekender series certainly lives up to its name by having comfortable below deck accommodations to sleep you and another couple through the weekend.

• Two double cabins (forward and amidships) provide four fixed berths, suitable for a couple, family, or two cruising pairs.
• A separate heads compartment offers the privacy and comfort expected of a 40-plus-foot cruising boat (configuration inferred from the stated berths and from the existing C11 layout).

In the C12 specifically, the convertible salon sofa in the deckhouse adds additional, occasional sleeping space when you need to host extra guests or kids on board.
