The exterior deck of the 46 is clear and uncluttered, making for a striking look that's appealing to the eye. Dehler draws from the Hanse Group easy sailing concepts which make the 46 easy to operate, even with a small crew. The cockpit is large enough to fit your crew, but is also elegantly designed. The teak flooring is rich looking and there is a transom gate that folds down to unveil a teak-covered bathing platform. Halyards have been hidden which helps the clean-cut design.

The hull itself is quite substantial as its extremely durable, yet light-weight, thanks to the vacuum infusion technology that Dehler uses. The Dehler 46 hull is made of water-resistant vinylester resin, which makes it 20% more rigid than other conventional designs. Additionally, a steep stem extends the waterline. This, combined with the lighter weight of the hull, means greater speed and more living space on board. The mast on the 46 is also longer, stiffer, and lighter than the normal aluminum mast thanks to the rig made of high-tech carbon. This allows the sail area to be larger which helps improve performance while at sail.

The standard layout of the 46 includes a master cabin with an island double berth and head. There is also a spacious aft cabin on the starboard side and a large storage area on the port side which can be used as a sail locker. Owners do have the option to have a second aft cabin in this storage area. All upholstery and fabrics can be customized in color to suit your taste.
