Nimbus Boats VIDEOS

According to the corporate summary, “Nimbus builds boats that meet the requirements of the conscious yachtsman who appreciates smart functionality, comfort, safety, and Scandinavian design. Properties we consider essential whether you go for a quick drive, a social weekend, or a long international cruise.”

The brand offers its models in functional categories, which is quite refreshing when compared to most boat manufacturers that offer a base boat along with pages of optional accessories and features. Instead of providing a menu of options, Nimbus takes each boat, which incorporate all of the qualities inside every Nimbus, and then tailors its interior and exterior layout, accommodations and systems, to best fit the boating needs of its owners.

As a result, it offers the Nimbus line to fit different needs. It builds a model as an all-around tender and day boat, for example, as well as offering the same hull as a commuter-style with an enclosed protected cabin. This same hull is also further constructed as a boat complete with all necessary systems and stateroom interior for those intending to spend time aboard on weekends and short-term cruises.

This holistic approach takes advantage of the Swedish design philosophy and is more consumer-centric than selling boats that try to do it all, often beyond what buyers really need or want. The result is a superior customer experience rather than forcing buyers to understand and identify options off an order checklist to order a boat that is “close enough” to what will work for them.

What Types Of Models Does Nimbus Build?

In addition, the Nimbus lineup now includes boats that are ideally suited for cruising, in both coupe and flybridge models. With comfortable staterooms and both exterior and interior living spaces designed for ease of use, these Nimbus yachts center around the family concept of safe, fun, and comfortable cruising. And they embody all of the brand qualities so carefully developed within the Nimbus ethos.

The Tender models, from 26 to 40 feet, fit the needs of those who want a high-quality day boat. It is perfect for elegant cocktail cruises as part of waterfront living, day excursions during the summer season, and anyone who desires a comfortable and safe open boat to travel at speed in fair weather.

The Commuter models take this one step further by incorporating an enclosed and protected cabin into these same boats (26, 30, and 40-feet LOA), for people to travel comfortably in all kinds of weather year ‘round. Commuter boats can be ordered to fit the warmer climate living in the Southeast and California environments where there is plenty of sun and warm tropical winds, as well as those who want to enjoy local boating during all four seasons. And they are ideal for those who live in the Pacific Northwest, in New England, and the Great Lakes where the short boating season can only be extended if there is protected crew protection not possible with open boats.

The Weekender model are day cruisers that include sufficient living spaces for overnights aboard. They allow a family to enjoy a broader on-water experience aboard, and for longer periods than camping on a traditional day boat.

The Coupe and Flybridge Cruisers are additional models that take the brand into the cruising world, for longer daily runs, with comfortable and private staterooms, and all the comforts and conveniences for enjoyable travel over a longer period. These boats are designed and equipped for living aboard, including what is needed for a comfortable and satisfying Great Loop.

What Is The Largest Nimbus Model?

The latest new project for Nimbus is the 465 Coupe, which is the company’s first step into a larger yacht. It takes all the innovation, comfort, and safe design qualities associated with Nimbus, yet in a larger boat that is a good choice for those who want self-sufficient freedom for extended living aboard. This new 465 Voyager is the Nimbus entry into motoryacht territory.

Why Buy A Nimbus?

There are many reasons why knowledgeable boaters will consider a Nimbus as their next boat. Compared to cookie cutter production boats that offer a fleet of white fiberglass watercraft with little distinction among the field of competing boats, the Nimbus represents contemporary and fresh thinking. The Nimbus makes a statement about modern engineering and design, and its boats are priced competitively in the various segments of the U.S. powerboat market.

In addition to Nimbus Boats, the parent company, Nimbus Group, produces a range of powerboats that include Alukin, Aquador, Bella, Falcon, Flipper, and Paragon Yachts. Sales through its dealer networks continue to grow among its largest markets, which are the Nordic region, Europe, and the U.S.

Where Are Nimbus Boats Built?

The Nimbus Boats factory is located in Gothenburg, Sweden, however, the company recently purchased the Edgewater Boats factory in Edgewater, Florida. The Florida-based factory will assist with the U.S. production capabilities.
