Chris Duppenthaler, Broker
Chris grew up sailing the San Juan Islands and doesn't remember a summer he didn't spend on or around the water. Chris has since worked in all aspects of marine construction and repair. As a Certified Composites Technician he ran a boat yard, managed complex retrofits as well as new boat construction including Northwest Trawlers. Chris speaks to marine industry professionals at the annual International Boatbuilding Exhibition as an authority on composites quality. With an eye to the future he is also a long time advisory board member for Skagit Valley College's Marine Program. Chris's boating experience extends from his 35 lb. race kayak to 200 ton luxury yachts. If you happen to be in Bellingham for the Ski to Sea race this year, come cheer Chris on kayaking across the sound.

An early and still favorite San Juan location is Patos Island. For anyone that wishes to pass by the summer crowds of Sucia, check out Patos, as detailed in print in Light on the Island" by Helene Glidden, the Patos lighthouse keeper's daughter.
Seasoned boaters should visit the Skagit Valley College's new cutting-edge marine skills center facility on the Anacortes waterfront some time and take a look at the world-class marine education being offered.
